Do you have any guitar stands that are in stock and ready to ship?

We frequently do have a small quantity of stands that are ready to go, especially in December for Christmas. Email or call for availability.

Will the stand affect the finish on my instrument?

Our stands only contact your instrument under the headstock. This contact point is leather wrapped around surgical rubber so there is no risk of damaging the finish on your instrument, even those with nitro lacquer finishes.

Is plywood or fiberboard used instead of solid hardwood?

Only premium hardwoods are used on Take a Stand instrument stands. We currentlyc offer curly maple, cherry, riftsawn red and white oak, santos mahogany, and walnut. Other woods such as bubinga, claro walnut, and wenge are available on special order.

Will the stand fit my instrument?

Yes, our stands are designed to acommodate any guitar, bass, mandolin, or ukelele - electric or acoustic. If you have special concerns, please contact us.

How are the stands finished?

Each stand is finished as fine furniture. After hand sanding, a sealer shellac and penetrating oil is applied and then fine furniture wax. The stand is buffed for a flawless satin gloss finish.

Is the stand shipped assembled?

Take a Stand instrument stands come apart in two sections. They are easily assembled without tools in a few seconds. All of our guitar and music stands are shipped with custom made drawstring storage bags in a double wall corrugate carton for ultimate protection.

How long does it take to receive my order?

Each order is custom made to your specifications. Please allow six to eight weeks for production. If you have a special rush requirement please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Can I pay with a credit card?

PayPal is used for all payments although a PayPal account is not required. PayPal provides additional security in that we never see your credit card or banking information. American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and direct debit from your bank account are accepted.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, please email us for costs and details. For shipments outside the USA, please be aware there are duties, tariffs, VAT, etc. that will be collected upon receipt of your guitar stand. All shipments are insured for their full value and we have no control over these additional country specific fees.

Do you ship to APO and FPO addresses?

Can I place a special order?

Yes, we can create a stand using exotic woods and trims. We can also build your stand to a specific height or accommodate an atypical nut width. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
